The NEA Fellowship is a spring semester opportunity for undergraduate students to work directly with the NEA investment team — an unparalleled opportunity to learn the business of venture capital and get first-hand exposure to company‑building.
Who we’re looking for.
Students who are involved in their campus venture and entrepreneurship ecosystem or who have backgrounds in engineering, product, or design.
Curious
Curiosity drives everything we do — it’s what leads us to ask the hard questions, chase the best answers, and build real conviction in the investments we make.
An independent thinker and team player
We believe in giving people real freedom — which means you need to be comfortable driving things forward on your own, taking initiative, and keeping the team informed and involved every step of the way.
Engaged
We’re always learning here, and you will be too — staying engaged with emerging technologies and trends isn’t optional, it’s the job. And honestly, it should already be something you’re excited about.
Work alongside NEA investment professionals
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with NEA investors in company and pitch meetings, and you will be responsible for various aspects of follow-up, tracking, and investment research. You will manage a company tracker and stay up-to-date with startup launches. You may have the opportunity to support NEA portfolio companies with research projects and competitive analyses.
Develop your own investment thesis
You will create and maintain a comprehensive market map for a sector of interest, highlighting exciting startups in the space to assist NEA investors in sourcing and diligence efforts.
Engage with your campus entrepreneurial ecosystem
You will serve as an ambassador for NEA on your college campus, engaging with founders, researchers, and technologists as you build out your personal network.
